I think it looks great, despite the scanner! Have you tried messing with the contrast settings etc?

I'll be tinkering with those settings today or... whenever I feel like I have the patience for it LOL. I actually snapped this with my phone, because the photo looked so much better than the scanner. Scanner wouldn't even pick up half the colour in this.
